Coach to Coach

Privacy Policy

This page explains what Coach to Coach collects when you use this site, why, and what you can do about it. Plain language first, legal detail second.

This policy is a working draft. The sections marked like this one still need Sven's and a data-protection adviser's sign-off, and nothing here should be treated as a binding legal commitment until that's done.

Cookies & Consent

When you first arrive, a banner asks which cookies you're happy with. Nothing beyond the strictly necessary cookies runs until you say yes, and you can change your answer whenever you like.

Strictly necessary
These keep the site working: remembering your cookie choice, keeping your shopping cart, and processing checkout securely. They don't track you and can't be switched off. This includes cc_cookie, which stores the preferences you set here so we don't ask again on every visit.
Analytics
Helps us see which pages coaches actually read and where they get stuck, so we can improve the site. The data is aggregated — we're looking at patterns, not at you personally. Off unless you turn it on.
Marketing
Lets us show Coach to Coach content on other platforms to people likely to find it useful, and measure whether those ads actually work. Turn this off and you'll still see ads elsewhere — they just won't be based on your visit here. Off unless you turn it on.

Newsletter & Email

If you enter your email in the footer signup or to unlock the intro video, that address is added to a mailing list managed by Resend. We use it to send whatever you asked for (such as the free intro guide) plus occasional updates about Sven's courses, speaking, and coaching network.

Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately. We don't sell or rent your email address to anyone.

At the moment you sign up we also store the exact consent wording shown to you and a version identifier for it, so both sides have a clear record of what was agreed. The current wording (version 2026-08-09) is:

By subscribing, you agree to receive occasional emails from Coach to Coach. Unsubscribe anytime. See our Privacy Policy.

Other Data We Collect

Each sub-processor's legal entity, the countries your data is processed in, and the transfer safeguards used for any processing outside the EU/EEA still need to be confirmed and listed here.

Data Controller

The legal entity responsible for this site, its registered address, company registration number, and — if one is required — the appointed data protection officer and their contact details all need to be filled in here.

Legal Basis for Processing

Placeholder — final legal text pending review

The specific Article 6 GDPR basis relied on for each activity — consent for marketing emails and non-essential cookies, contract for course purchases, legitimate interests for replying to enquiries, legal obligation for financial records — needs to be confirmed and stated precisely.

How Long We Keep Data

Concrete retention periods for each category of data — newsletter subscribers, contact enquiries, lead captures, purchase and invoice records — need to be set, including the statutory minimum that applies to financial records.

Your Rights

If you're in the EU or EEA, the GDPR gives you the following rights over your personal data.

  • Access — ask for a copy of the personal data held about you.
  • Rectification — have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected.
  • Erasure — ask for your data to be deleted.
  • Restriction — ask that we limit how your data is used.
  • Portability — receive your data in a portable, machine-readable format.
  • Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests, including direct marketing.
  • Withdraw consent — withdraw any consent you gave, at any time, without affecting processing that already happened.
  • Complain — lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.

To exercise any of these, email support@coachtocoach.team.
